With batteries as its main power sourde, it does not require any drilling or electrical wiring for its installation and operation.

When the wire-free keypad is not in use, it moves into a battery preservation mode while remaining entirely online. This feature extends the battery like. When the batteries are low, an indication light alerts the end user to change them.
